Subject: State Fair Booth and Parade Information Hey Everyone! Here is an update

BOOTH – Before anything else, save on your cell phone: State Fair Security: 660-530-5770. There will be a ton of law enforcement present but that is for “if all else fails” and you don’t see an officer to ask for assistance.1.   For your convenience, here is the program we followed during the webinar:

State Fair Booth Training Webinar – Google Docs and feel free to share! P

lease scroll down on the program to “Booth Basics” to review. There’s a lot of good information you’ll need to know. 2.   Here is the booth sign-up sheet if someone would still like to volunteer:

State Fair Booth sign-up – Google sheets – Google Sheets. It looks great and we really appreciate everyone taking the time to volunteer but there are still a couple of shifts empty. Per State Fair rules, booths have to remain open during fair hours so no shift can be left unattended and no one will be left on their own. The Rural Caucus will fill in the gaps if need be.

3.   In case you missed it, this is what we’ll have at the booth: State Fair Booth Inventory – Google Docs

4.   Unfortunately, neither MDP nor the Rural Caucus met their fundraising goals to reimburse volunteers for admission. If you buy in advance (before Aug. 9th), tickets are $12; at the gate: $15; tickets for anyone over 60 is $10. You’ll have to show your ID at the gate to get the discount. Fair Admission | Missouri State Fair (mostatefair.com)
PARADE1.   To decorate the float, we rented a storage unit at the Winchester Storage, 1400 Winchester, Sedalia, Unit 239.  We’ll have music, snacks, drinks and decorations. Everyone is welcome! When you get to the gate, text Jacqueline (660-723-5435) and she’ll give you the code to get in. 2.   To condense what the State Fair officials sent us, please read:

Parade Information – Google Docs. It gives you information on what to do/expect during the parade.

3.   We’ll provide water and give you a Rural Caucus shirt (while they last) on the 10th if you don’t have a county shirt. We have S thru 2XL but we are out of XL.

There’s a lot of info to digest but there’s a lot of info to share! We will share all this information again on Aug. 9th.

Folks, this is our opportunity to shine! Let’s take full advantage of it!

If you have any questions what-so-ever, please let us know.
